Microsoft has added a new upgrade discovery feature to Windows 11 24H2 Bluetooth Accessories. This includes many changes that will enable default device scan, device detection, list all devices on the Settings app, and filter out suspicious and abnormal devices.

With the Windows 11 24H2 Update, Microsoft has introduced some new Bluetooth functionality to make it easier to pair devices. One of the main changes is a new Bluetooth discoverability feature.

In simple terms, Bluetooth discoverability refers to how easy it is for other Bluetooth devices to find and connect to your computer. In previous versions of Windows, you had to manually turn on Bluetooth discoverability every time you wanted to pair a new device, which could be inconvenient.

Now, Windows 11 24H2 will automatically make your PC discoverable to new Bluetooth devices for 1 minute. So if you try to pair a new Bluetooth accessory like wireless headphones or a speaker, your PC will automatically show up on that device's list of available Bluetooth connections for 1 minute. You don't have to manually turn on discoverability anymore.

After 1-minute, your PC will become undiscoverable again automatically. This protects your privacy and security somewhat by limiting the time your computer is visible to unpaired devices. However, you can still manually turn on Bluetooth discoverability indefinitely if you want.

There are also some new visibility options you can customize:

• You can set discoverability to be on indefinitely if you have many Bluetooth devices and want seamless connections. This may be less secure,e though.

• You can disable the 1-minutauto-discoverabilityty if you don't want your PC visible to Bluetooth devices without your permission at all.

• There is an option to make your PC visible to all previously paired Bluetooth devices even when discoverability is turned off. This allows existing wireless accessories to maintain a persistent connection.

With this Windows 11 24H2 update from Microsoft, you can now get automatic and customizable Bluetooth discoverability features that make it more convenient to connect wireless Bluetooth gadgets to your Windows 11 computer. Setting the search capability to 1-minute balances both usability and security for most users. 

The added options provide more detailed control over the visibility of your PC to enhance both connection and privacy according to your personal preferences.
