| Windows Server 2025 Build 26244 Removes Some Features- (image source: uwinpc.com) |
Why are these changes in Windows Server 2025?
The Get Started app on Windows Server works like a tour guide for Windows. But those who run servers already know Windows well. They do not need a beginner's guide.Nearby Share features are used. Then you have to send files to another Windows computer nearby. Its use is very good for your home or office. But it is not so useful for servers. We often manage servers remotely. Due to this, we are not able to use Nearby Share.
Users noticed this change while testing the new version. In which new useless features are also being hidden. This indicates what new can come in future Windows Server versions. This change is visible through build 26244.
Microsoft is figuring out what Windows Server needs different from a regular computer. They are trying to make Windows Server better for the things that a server manager needs.

Microsoft has been trying different things lately. They have even added some features. Then, I removed them again. It seems that Microsoft is testing to see what works best for Server.
Big changes to the Get Started app in the future on Windows
Microsoft's regular user Get Started app is not very popular. Most people never use it. So this change in the server version could mean that it may be discontinued in regular Windows as well soon.Microsoft is listening to what different users need. They are making Windows Server even simpler than before for those who can use it.
As Windows Server 2025 approaches. We see that it is focusing more on what the server needs. Each version of Windows keeps useful features for the users. In the coming time, we can see some big updates on the server.
